Recognition: First place for Special Event Marketing by SMPS Boston Awards 2019
VHB holds an annual client reception to celebrate long-lasting partnerships with clients who have helped shape our communities in a meaningful way. The theme for this special event was inspired by the geometric glass atrium of the venue in downtown Boston, the fluidity of watercolors, and the vibrancy of the spring season. I painted loose watercolor swatches, then photographed and digitally manipulated them to add a juxtaposing geometric crop. The unique theme was carried throughout the hardcopy invitation, email invitation, RSVP landing page, multimedia components, and wayfinding signage.

This contemporary and romantic theme echoed our early spring wedding. Watercolor florals and greenery splash the corners of the design for our wedding invitation set. The crystal metallic card stock added an extra touch of icy elegance to these cards, packaged in a metallic blue envelope. The designed wedding stationery included the invitation, RSVP card, directions and accommodations insert, and menu. I also hand lettered the table numbers and program board. For the wedding favors, I folded over 100 origami lotus flowers and scroll inserts.

Trade shows, exhibits, and events are great opportunities to highlight a key theme, skill or product, and/or network with clients and peers. I have extensive experience researching, developing, and producing exhibit materials; designing marketing collateral including email marketing campaigns and presentation graphics; and leading event/exhibit set-up—all while collaborating and coordinating with vendors, clients, attendees, and event organizers. I have conceptualized and executed designs for several event spaces with an open floor layout to optimize foot-traffic and visibility for a free flowing and welcoming atmosphere.
